As of today, the company's management has made the decision on construction of Technopark which will possess representative, educational and research capacities. The facility engineering implies consideration of the entire system of architectural, city-planning, functional, environmental, and economic aspects.
The architects are challenged by creation of the Technopark system which shall support the Skolkovo IC image, become one of the drivers of cutting-edge technologies' development, the "icon building" both for the Skolkovo and for Moscow in whole.

 

The Customer of the competition is Sberbank PJSC

The Contractor of the competition is Genplan Institute of Moscow



Competition Subject

The Competition subject is development of the Sberbank, PJSC Technopark (hereinafter referred to as the Technopark) building architectural concept.

The project is located in the Skolkovo village situated within the New Moscow on the territory of the Skolkovo Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the Skolkovo IC) on two land plots having total area of 7.83 hectares, three kilometres away from MKAD.

Competition Participants

Russian and foreign architectural companies are invited to take part in the Competition, and these may involve in their team the experts in the fields of architectural engineering, urban development, landscape design, and construction ecology and economics.

Compensation

Each of the 5 teams invited to take part are compensated 5.7 million roubles incl. VAT for expenses incurred in developing the concept.

Implementation

The Customer hereby confirms its intention to develop a project based on the Concept selected for implementation, as well as to involve the Project author to develop the Sections "Architectural Solutions" and "Design Solutions" at the Project Documentation stage and also to advisory services in support of the project.

Rights For The Architectural Concept

The Participants shall reserve the exclusive rights to concept prepared by them. The Customer is entitled to the right to publish the competing concepts. Exclusive rights are to be transferred to the Customer within the separate contract to be concluded by the Customer with the author of the Project selected for implementation.

Competition Language

The official languages of the Competition are Russian and English. All the documentation will be developed in two languages.

  • December 16, 2015 - December 17, 2015


    Introductory workshop with participants

    The competition is considered to be announced at the moment of publication of tender documentation as part of invitation to participate and conditions of competition on the website. Detailed terms of reference will be given to participants at the Introductory workshop.

  • December 16, 2015 - March 21, 2016


    Work on the projects

    The organizer concludes an agreement and arrange visit on the territory of the review and initial workshop for each participant.

    Participants should prepare and submit the Concept.

  • March 21, 2016


    Tender closing date

    Acceptance of Competitive bid will end on March 21, 2016 at 18 hours 00 minutes Moscow Time. The composition, content and requirements for preparation of Competitive bids are given in Annex 4 to the Conditions of Competition.

  • March 22, 2016 - April 15, 2016


    Inspection of competitive projects

    Experts carry out a preliminary assessment of the concepts on their compliance with the Terms of Reference and regulatory requirements of operating in the Russian Federation and the city of Moscow, and prepare their conclusions. On the basis of preliminary assessment of the organizer prepares Technical report and submit it to the jury.

    Jury meeting

    Participants are presented the concept personally to the members of the jury.

    Members of the jury consider the developed concepts and form the raiting from one to six on the results of evaluation and comparison.  

    Based on recommendations of the jury and experts the customer decides on the selection of the Winner of the Competition.

  • April 20, 2016


    Announcement of the results of the Competition

    The competition ends with the publication of the decision of the Jury of the distribution of the concepts’ rating.

Competition Jury

The jury is the working body of the competition. The jury acts in accordance with requirements of competition documentation. The Jury includes representatives of the Customer, administration of the city of Moscow, as well as acclaimed Russian and international architects. In the course of its functioning, the jury is guided by principles of professionalism, independence of opinion and objective judgement, as well as by stipulations of competition documentation.
